A dark space within myself. The centre of my own universe. Almost completely empty, and exalted by that void. Within the vacuum, still; utterly still. Moving through the world with light amusement at the irony of existing in a space that is not mine. Owner of all space I occupy. Contradictory. Contemptuous of humanity while acknowledging its usefulness. Able to discard the past with the flick of a tongue and the turn of a day. Ever accompanied, if only shadowed. Devoid of need for any living creature save one, and she so much a part of me that it's like a need for myself. Changing and strengthening with every moment, but never losing the ability to feel, even as I harden. Cold but not emotionless. Without remorse or regret. Willing to betray if I must, uninclined to do so if there is no solid purpose to be served. Passionate and apathetic in equal measures. Certain that nothing is absolute and everything is possible. Capable of anything, given enough time and determination. A force of primal instinct and drive. Nothing and everything. An invention of my own mind. Utterly and inherently alone. Myself. Sure.
